My new to me 64 Polara

It looks like someone has put Polara interior door cards and rear interior panels on the car. The Polara 500 pieces had additional trim on them. The cards in the trunk are Polara 500, with chrome mylar inserts in arm rest area, and contrasting colour trim.
I hope you don't get tired of me asking questions. I try to do my homework before asking for help. I just posted about dash pads. I also have questions about front seat belts. There are rings in the floor. Not for factory belts I'm sure.

I have a nice Weiand already that came with the car. I also have a 650 AVS2 waiting in the wings for it.

. A set of headers and a four barrel, a little distributor work will really wake up that 318.
It sure does !!

If you take off the inner aluminium sill plates and pull up the side of your carpet, you will find threaded provisions for optional seat belts in the sills. All '64 Dodges had these. A set of Retro Seatbelts can be attached here with regular seat belt bolts. There was no factory provision for attaching rear seat belts, however. I have added rear belts to my car, using large, thick flat washers for floor reinforcement.

ABC Moparts lists reproduction dash pad for 1964 Dodge. From what I have read here, it fits better than the one offered by Special T's. I don't mind the questions at all, Mike. I have been around 1964 Polara's since 1980. Since my Polara is a Canadian car, it uses the 1964 Plymouth Fury dash and ribbed dash pad.

Thanks Dave. I appreciate the help. I don't need to restore this car but I like to make positive improvements without breaking the bank. I am making a list of the vendors that offer parts for these old girls. Many of the repop parts are made by the same company but there are big differences in price sometimes. Like headlight bezels, I will look for a nice used one but may pull the trigger on the repops if I cant find one.

That is a really nice find Mike. I love the colour and the stance!

I hear you. It is always nice to do improvements to make it YOUR car. I have dealt with Joe Suchy for repro parts. He is a great guy to deal with. I have met him at Carlisle and Indy swap meet. Classic Industries has a nice free Mopar catalog with a lot of detail stuff for early B-bodies. Jim Kramer, too.
I made up some custom door cards for my Polara 4-door hardtop. The factory Canadian pieces were more like U.S. Belvedere cards; very plain. I once had a U.S. 4-door hardtop parts car, with red interior, and very good, fancier door cards. I masked off around the chrome mylar trims, and dyed the rest of the panels black. When unmasked, it left some of the original red colour, bringing a nice colour POP to the interior. I also used the longer front arm rest bases on the rear doors. I cleaned up the trunk area with preformed cardboard side panels available from Classic Industries. Canadian 1964 Dodge came with these, but U.S. cars did not. 1963 U.S. cars came with them, and the trunk area is the same, so they fit well. If you look up under the trunk weather strip side rail, there are likely hangers for them. Note that Canadian Dodge used convertible placement of spare tire for all their cars.

WOW, SHARP!!!

Those tips out the back are so day 2 period correct.
Please elaborate. I'm not the historian that so many of you are.

I have a buddy who really dislikes the twin pipes under the bumper. He prefers them to dump out the sides in front of the tires. I'm ambivalent.

Nice ride @toolmanmike ! Mine has the single reservoir master as well. You just have to realize that in 1964, stopping was more of a suggestion than a direct order. Happy trails!

Back in the day when you bought a car, new or used, you customized it or modified it as soon as you got it home. Custom wheels were usually "Day 1" modifications. On day 2 more involved mods were done like dual exhaust or different mufflers, May by an intake/carb swap and aluminum valve covers or the like. I don't mind the chrome tips on the car but I will probably change them to turn downs or maybe oval tips like on a 69 Roadrunner. I will have to see what I like better after viewing photos and going to car shows. Now, those tail pipes that dump out in front of the wheels remind me of something a Chevy guy would do. Not my favorite. And, anything that dumps towards the ground can kick up a lot of dust at car shown. Not a fan for me or other car guys. Ditto on the single master. I have the same on my 66 Dart now for 15+ years with no issue. They either work or they don't.

When I first got my Satellite, I checked everything over pretty well. It had a single pot master cylinder and power drum brakes. The car stopped as it should in 1965. My wife and I were coming home from a dinner out. A deer ran in front of us and I had to brake hard. The car pulled right for the first second of braking. My wife asked if I could fix that and I said with a $1000.00 brake upgrade and she said what are you waiting for. I said shipping fro Dr. Diff .
Mike I have a 355 sure grip if you are wanting to upgrade.

  I probably have a 3.23 open but I haven't checked.

4 bbl added about 30hp.
I have a Weiand and a 650 AVS2 in the wings to go on. I can sure go that route and that should take care of my blubbering Holley that's on it now. (which may be ignition related)
