I know you people are into this stuff so I thought I'd post it. I don't know if it will make you glad or sad, but it is what it is. I went to see a guy I've known for a long time. Like some other people I know, I doubt he's ever sold anything in his life. He told me he's never sold a car. (Yes, the yard gets crowded.) He's 75 years old. He told me I could go into the back yard and take a look, so I did. He told me his first car is back there and his first new car is back there. Well, it was interesting. I thought you would enjoy this one that he bought 50 years ago. They're still out there...

Pine needles are bad for metal. I don't blame him for keeping it, but keep it a bit better please

Didn't all 1969 Hemi super bees get N96.

Yep they are out there and a lot are owned by people who will never touch them or sell them. I drove my 1970 Charger RT to a friends house the other day. I’m the second owner. The original owner kept inside his garage until 2004, when I bought it. I paid top dollar at the time. It. Looks very nice and it well preserved. The friend I showed it too, has one just like that he will never touch. He bought it brand new and parked it 35 years ago under some blankets in the driveway. He will never sell it and at 82, will never touch it. He has been offered $40,000 that I know of. It will rot to the driveway.

So much of this story, just makes me sad/mad!!

I know you said it's not for sale, but damn I would like to try. My Superbird wasn't for sale, but I was able to get a deal done. Just had to make him a friend first and not push.

It's really quite selfish. If he drove it occasionally then fair enough, but to just let it rot away in the woods - pointless.
Must be very eccentric, I just don't understand, if he loves Mopars then wouldn't he want it saved, or at least stored properly?

I’ve got a buddy with a Chevy Nomad who hasn’t driven it in well over 20 years. His son was after him a few years ago to get it drivable for his upcoming wedding, but he didn’t. He says that he’s going to get to it someday, but I know that it’ll never happen.
