3 full days of installing trim on the 62”, with the help of some good friends accomplished it without scratching anything, still need to install the trim around the rear window.

I loved that car, drove it 100,000 miles as my company ride when I was a trucking company executive. Different time in my life, for sure, I was looking for adventure every day, and I often found it.

My buddy Warren came over to help me bleed the brakes on the GTX, it now has an awesome pedal. The hydro boost conversion is complete, pending a successful test drive. Hopefully I can work that in next weekend…

Checked deck height on the Hemi, found out I need the .140 thick MLS gasket to get intake-heads lined up real nice. Deck is 10.64, head milled .030 so .085 + .030 + .027 = .142 plus or minus. Gaskets are $235 each, ouch!
Get those ordered sometime this week.
Next, install cam bearings, assemble pistons on rods, chamfer the rod bearings, change out springs on heads. That should keep me busy for a few weeks. lol

Got my repaired driver side bucket seat reassembled and reinstalled in my "67 R/T.
Finishing up a 1964 Torqueflite rebuild for a friend. He dropped off a deep pan setup he bought from Mancini's. On the Plus side, it came with the late model o-ringed pan gasket, and longer pan bolts. On the Minus side, it came with normal 1 hole filter, and filter extension. I had to drill a 1/2" hole through the extention to feed the rear pump. I had already ordered a 2 hole filter, along with the rebuild kit. Then, I discovered the supplied screws to bolt the filter and extention to the valve body were too short. I rooted around through my extra spares and found a set of longer screws, so I was O.K. The transmission had a broken Belleville spring and rear band anchor.

I got tired of the fuel hard line seeming to be in the way of everything and finally switched it for an AN hose.

Ouch! Sorry about that. Did you have any warning that something was going wrong?
Stripped anodizing off a spare 66 tail pane that I’m going to finish out for my Satellite. Used lye pellets which is the best approach I’ve found.
It’s in there somewhere.
Forgot to strip some paint remnants out of the letters first. Lye won’t eat off paint. Now on to polishing.
