What did you do to your Mopar today?

I woke up my '67 R/T from its hibernation, and drive it into town for fresh gas. The price of fuel has dropped really low, so I filled her up with Mobil 93. Champagne! I had the rear springs rebuilt with about 2" rise, and I think it actually rides better now.

Stripped anodizing off a spare 66 tail pane that I’m going to finish out for my Satellite. Used lye pellets which is the best approach I’ve found.

It’s in there somewhere.

Forgot to strip some paint remnants out of the letters first. Lye won’t eat off paint. Now on to polishing.
I’ll be watching what you do since I might have to do one of the better ones I have (can’t find an NOS one) . Lye in full strength will remove paint (and pretty much everything else), a furniture repair friend had a huge tank 6x6x6 filled with commercial lye-water mix. He put my Max Wedge intake in there for about an hour, all the paint and corrosion came off.
Will you have your panel re-anodized? By who?

Ouch! Sorry about that. Did you have any warning that something was going wrong?
It first appeared as a hesitation, which threw me off as I had been chasing ignition problems. Then I sat idling in neutral for 5 min waiting at a train crossing and it started slipping when I drove away- I figure it plugged the filter as I sat idling.
Help me Mr Wizard! Time for this one to go home.

No real progress since the weekend, but very happy with the progress made over a year and half of weekends, basically stripping the car down and building it back up including swapping out the 318 Poly with a freshly built 440…still work to be done and more surprises to come!
