Hi, I own a 1969 Dodge Charger and have been struggling with the window chrome channel.
I'm not sure if the part I ordered is correct. Can anyone confirm if it’s the right one?
So as it turns out..... on this 67 Tommy Boy project the 1/4 window tracks and hardware were all missing. I have the glass channel, just missing all these other pieces. From everything I see and know this is all the pieces needed. Looking for a complete left and right hand side set. 66 and...
...it’s almost impossible to run the window up and down. The rear channel seems to run smooth. So it must be the front channel runs that are causing the problem.
I tried putting Sil-Glyde in the vent windowchannel but it doesn’t help.
Anyone have this experience with replacement channel runs?
Try Detroit Muscle Technologies. Some glass shops have a very thin rubber strip that the window pushes the strip into the channel and holds it in place.
Hope this helps.
Does anybody know if they make an aftermarket seal that goes in the U shaped channel side of the door glass trim? This is the trim that mounts on the door glass and closes up against the quarter window. I know they make a felt seal that closes against the quarter window, but I can't find a new...
Start by spraying your channels with silicone spray. By the time the window gets to the upper half most of it is out of the rear channel so its a slim chance channel alignment is the issue.
Hello All,
I'm in need of the rear vertical windowchannel for the driver's door of my 69 GTX.
Attached are pictures of the piece from the passenger side for reference. I need that piece's mirror.
Let me know what's out there.
Thanks in advance!

Used some old industrial exploding rivets to install flocked rubber to window run channel. Worked great, you use soldering iron to set them off, sounded like a 22 short. Rescued these from my Dad's estate years ago. They are probably 30 years old.
Went to look at a 66 Charger project.
Interesting car- 361 with AC and disk brakes..... in mauve from the factory.
Gotta be low production.
Lots of pitting on the trim and odd rust under the windshield (not in the channel) and beside the rear window (again, not in the channel), both lower...
The windowchannel guides went well, I bought them from Detroit Muscle Tech, the curve matched the channel well and the plastic clips worked with no modification. Just mark the spot where the fuzzy meets the rubber at the top, clamp it on and melt the holes out with a soldering iron. Binder...
