What would you do next to this 318

HAHA. I'll bet it would. I'm thinking more along the lines of 20-30hp increase. A little more torque. $1000 budget range.

What would you do next to this 318

So this is a basically stock 318 in my 1973 Roadrunner. Lots of replacement parts but not many upgrades outside of Intake, Carb and Headman Headers. I'm not looking for a lot more power but still wish I could get a little more out of her. adding 3.55 gears made a pretty big difference. But...

Good bye highway gears. Hello 3.55

Just swapped the highway gears I had (2.73 i think it said) in my 73 RR to 3.55. I highly recommend. After reading several posts in this forum of guys who had made the swap I gotta say it made a pretty big difference. My little 318 went from a decent little cruiser to a cruiser with a little...

help with 318 headers choice / power steering in the way

I tried to find these. looks like they dont make them anymore? But I did find the Hooker Competition Headers on Summits site. Model 5901-1HKR. I wonder if theres much difference? They also have a pair of Patriot Headers, H8206-B that seems like they should fit my setup. Are patriots any good?

Great news then not great news.

Good and bad news. So the manifold and carb were installed on my 318 today. It’s running great. Now the not great news. There’s a little trans slippage. I believe it has to do with the kickdown linkage and spring. I need a spring for the kickdown but I dont have the proper plate for it...

    New intake manifold help

Installing a new intake manifold tomorrow. The new Edelbrock manifold, leaves a portion of this “horseshoe” shaped hole exposed. What is this for? Did I get the wrong manifold? It’s a 318 on a 1973 roadrunner.

    Let’s see them 73-74 RoadRunners

I’m just starting the process of working on my recently purchased RR. It was parked for 30-ish years in climate controlled storage. Body and frame seem to be pretty rust free. Surface rust in trunk but seems pretty solid. But tons of work to do getting her road ready. Let’s see your Road...

    Western Kentucky Newbie

yea, its been a rough few months. Mom passed from thyroid cancer mid December and Dad passed from brain tumors late March. After mom passed we think Dad just kinda gave up the fight. Dad loved cars, so it seemed only fitting that I try and get one back on the road for him.
