So i got it. Ended up actually removing the glovebox and the radio and managed to get in there to get it out. The motor was bad but also the driver side pivot shaft that goes through the cowl was frozen and didn’t move. Ended up taking the motor and both wiper arm assembly’s out. Freed up the...
Thanks for the pics. Sure does look a lot easier with the dash out! As far as power, I believe we are good there because when I hit the switch, the wiper arms move ever so slightly. That’s why I was thinking the motor was bad
have a glovebox? yes. I did pull the glovebox out and tried to go through there and through the radio hole to access it but couldn't seem to get the access I needed
Alright guys and gals. been a little bit since ive been with you guys here but Im back and need some help! Been trying to skate around it for a couple years now but finally got to get it taken care of. can't get an inspection sticker cause the wipers don't work. I believe it's the wiper motor...
It’s getting to be that time of the year again when I’ll have time to work on it and update this forum vs the past several months when all I wanted to do was drive the car and enjoy it!
I see what you are referring to. Those shims were set correctly on the pins. I just have them sitting like that cause I took a photo. I did try to reverse them and I still had a vibration. I tried with 2 degree shims and the 4 degrees both ways cause I did think I was confusing myself. I am...
That’s how it sits in the driveshaft. The c clips are on the inside. The u-joint that I took out was the same way except it was small joint to small yolk. When I got the different rear I needed the conversion joint which was small joint to big yolk.
I really can't go any higher with the transmission. It is already very close to the floor and the exhaust is almost touching the crossmember. If I shim the trans up anymore, the exhaust will hit and the trans will be almost touching the floorpan
I can swap it around but I've had it in and out of the car so many times that I don't even know if its been installed the same way each time. As for the yolk, I am not sure how the yolk would get balanced with the driveshaft. I just took the shaft out and dropped it off at the driveshaft shop
you mean if I push up and down on the driveshaft yolk going into the trans there should be little to no movement or pull the driveshaft out and just try and move the output shaft by itself?
At a loss and don’t know where to go from here…. A lot of you were following my 4spd swap. 65 Satellite 4spd swap
Still chasing a vibration. I notice it from 25-65mph. Vibrates when I’m cruising and I push the clutch in and hold the clutch in or if I pull it into neutral while cruising and...
The length is fine. Same shaft I’ve had in the car. Only thing I recently did was change the yolk because the original yolk was work and kept leaking. The new yolk is shorter but not by much.
