For the studs going into the heads use arp thread sealer which is definitely not the same as RTV
If you want a good seal at the heads use the copper gasket maker LIGHTLY to the manifold and just draw the manifold to the head do not crank down on the nuts just snug let them sit overnight to cure...

I have a 73 440 pulled from an Imperial that was an AC car. I need a complete set of big block pulleys and brackets for power steering, alternator, water pump and also water pump housing & water pump if needed. The key is it needs to be a cast crank set up. Let me know what you have.

No spool mounts when the engine was pulled. Possibly 75& up are spool, this one was not. Not criticizing just correcting an error.

assuming the seller was honest I would say you need to go back and recheck the camshaft install and make sure that you accurately check for top dead center with a degree wheel and don't rely on the balancer marks. If it was running good and not overheating before the cam change I would look...
