Hello,
I have a stock 426 Hemi with 4 speed A833 trans. going in to my 71 Super Bee.
My assembly manual states the Hemi cars use a .390 inch diameter spring wire size.
Using a traditional Borg & Beck stock style clutch set-up purchased from Brewers.
I have a .360" spring, will it make a big...
Here are the dyno numbers for the 426 Hemi built stock except solid lifters for my 71 Super Bee.
422HP @5700 RPM
445 Torque @ 3400 RPM
A/F ratio running on the rich side, did not have a great selection of metering rods at the time.
Will change out the metering rods once it is in the car and...
Hello MBC,
Perhaps the reason has to do with cars built with AC vs. non-AC.
Below is a picture from the Mopar part book regarding radiators.
This listing describes radiator width details, perhaps this will help you narrow down possibilities.
Looks like 440 Chargers (Model Code: W) less AC...
I found company that has the brake lines for the dual diaphragm booster/master cylinder to distribution block, RPUI (The Right Stuff).
They come as part of a front brake line package item.
Steel & Stainless Steel Brake Line Kits | Pre-Bent Tubing
I wish to thank you all for your input...
Hello Bird,
I hear you, my 1972 442 W-30 4 speed has manual disc brakes and the car stops fine with a bit more pressure than power break cars.
I am hoping to be driving the Bee and the 442 when I hit a 100 yrs. old (now 64), hopefully the eyes and legs are strong enough then to stop the 442...
Thank you for the reply MW!!!
If i have to bend my own, that is what I will do, but I prefer to buy if available to spend time putting car back together.
Hello,
I am looking for brake lines that run from the distribution block to the master cylinder for my 1971 Super Bee 426 Gen. II Hemi.
I purchased a dual diaphragm booster and master cylinder from Dr. Diff, but he does not sell the lines now due to quality issues he was having.
I cannot find...
Hello,
I have available a fixture I made to position a replacement vapor canister mounting bracket on the outer wheel well.
Had to replace the one on my car due to corrosion.
This fixture allowed me to perfectly position the vapor canister and hold the bracket in position for time necessary to...
Hello 71 Beeper,
Thanks for the picture.
Judging by the picture, it looks like there will be sufficient space for the exhaust to clear.
Will know soon enough if this is going to work.
Hopefully Firm Feel accounted for the needed space for the exhaust, fuel vapor lines and brake lines., I...
71Beeper,
I appreciate the feedback.
It never came to mind the space needed for exhaust, etc. when I purchased this unit.
Being my first Mopar restoration and buying the car basically dismantled, I took it this is correct for my 71 Super Bee, went by the advertisement wording of Firm Feel...
I bought one from Firm Feel for my 71 Super Bee.
Not installed yet, appears to be nicely designed.
It mounts above the rear differential, keeping it for the most part unseen from the rear of the car.
Hello Stucat,
I bought a set of wheels from Tony, they are very nice quality pieces that i received.
I painted mine matt black, going to run without the hub caps with blue line tires to match the B5 Blue exterior with black stripes on my 71 Bee with Ramcharger hood, will look awesome when...
Hello,
Does anyone on FBBO know of shops that etch original dates codes and Mopar symbol on new glass.
The company I purchased the new glass does not offer the service and could not/would not provide any suggestions.
I have a 71 Super Bee under restoration and would like the glass to have the...
