Thanks Rusty never thought about 71 replacement slugs. Im not gonna mill the heads, block or replace the pistons so it was more of a ballpark question. CCing the piston and head is pointless to me at time.Sometimes you can get a +-CC in piston or CR based on bore size.
So here is the the skinny.
1976 vintage 360 rebuilt 5+ years ago by previous owner(pill-popping tweaker)
974 head w/72cc chambers looks like a refresh on heads but cant be sure. Looks to be .030 bored since thats what on the piston.
This is the pistons that are there. Trying to get rough...

So got fed up with work involved in restoring/finding dash I was looking for. I just didn't want to settle. Found aftermarket insert and guages. Almost done and LOTS of wiring time. I now have a oil guage and oil light. Instead of simple led colors for blinkers and high beam i Found some mini...
I read some of Slantsix post I on other forums (a-body?) and his information is some of where I pulled by lame post(damn experts :-) ). His info on post was a direct reason did the alternator mods, relays and the headlight. Just to much information out there on benefits of doing it to not do...
It appears there might be two things I see but might just be optical.
Where is the fan sitting in relation to the shroud opening. Looks like the blades are really tucked in there. They should be in the circle as to not allow air to circle behind them. Remember path of least resistance. IF air...
Yah your install is far cleaner than mine. If I had a pretty engine bay and nice paint I think I would have strived for a cleaner look for sure. I actually thought about mounting the relays where you had....For one I could see that its possible for a large battery to come into contact with the...
This was how I bought the car. All the alternator bypass to battery mods and ammeter bypass was also done. This harness was horrendous. Surprise car never caught fire.
While most of you would see this as elementary I have the need to be able to move the car while having the dash and dash harness out of the car for repair and rebuilding. Took some time reviewing prints and what to do so I figured this would help with a bit of guidance for some.
The one...
Well after a year of searching for a new replacement options here is what I did to fix my issue.
This is the harness side so I only clipped off the burnt connector butts and left as much wire as possible. Actually the innerds were clean and flexible.
The clear connector is the male and...
I just did multiple wiring changes as well as lots of headlight searching.
Seems there are basically 4 types of "headlights" out there.
1. Conventional Sealed Beam- Basically incandescent bulb
---An incandescent light bulb is a glass tube filled with gas, with a wire filament inside it. When...

72 B-Body I have a new ingnition switch installed that came with a shiny new male/female 8 pin bullet connector
