I could be wrong but isn't that a Cordoba/ Magnum shifter. Thats different. Does it ratchet like a slapstik? Man, you guys kill me with interiors in your car. Mines stripped, waiting on a top and headliner. 80 degree weather and garage bound.
That shifter did come from a 75 and up B-Body. All of the 71-74 B's came with the t-handle slapstick. As far as the round woodgrain ball shifter being for 70 E-Bodies, my dad was the original owner of a 74 Challenger Rallye that had the woodgrain ball shifter in it from the factory. I have seen other 74 E-Bodies with the ball shifter and it was very clear they were original to the cars. My theory is that Mopar was ending the E-Body in 74 and just used up leftover parts on the shelf.
