I second the guys at Glen-ray radiator. They are just flat out awesome. I replaced the radiator in my 63 Max with with one of their units, perfect fit,perfect delivery. They even cheated it forward a bit in the brackets.

The slotted part you are thinking of is actually solid but painted black. This grill is completely chromed, so you can see it is solid. The "new" grill will have the black painted slots above the inner lights and will look slotted. Hopefully I answered your question (on my second try). - - -...

Installed a new gas tank today. The original has a lot of stuff floating in it. New carbs go on tomorrow. Pull the plugs, squirt in some oil and hand turn it a bit. I'll throw in some 110 leaded fuel and see if she's runs. Stay tuned!
