Looking for the latch mechanism and button that keeps the console arm rest closed. For a 66 Charger but I’m guessing most of the console cars of this era may have used the same mechanism.

I am 100% certain about the red car being clear glass, but the green one could possibly have tint. Sadly it is very dusty, immobile, and tucked in a dark garage haha. I am starting work on it very soon, and I may use the white paper trick and a flashlight or something to test it.

Mine is a factory green over black car. I love the beautiful colors of interior available in the Charger, but for the green I specifically wanted a black interior. Blame Steve McQueen for me falling in love with that color combo haha.

That is true, I do also have a page that shows the traditional schematic as well. Irritatingly, the wire colors on that diagram don't match the other diagrams that I posted (which also match the car) so it is a bit tricky to cross reference.
I tried both positions on the switch, as well as disconnected fully, however I cannot remember if I tried a jumper bypassing the switch. Will give that a go. I like your idea of isolating and using a power probe to see what wakes up. Thank you for the ideas.
