Thanks for sharing. I have a borgeson on my 67 Belvedere just installed. About 100 miles so far, I’m with Kerndog this is an amazing upgrade. The flaming river box that was on before was sloppy and felt over boosted.
That car looks like my first one Silver with red interior, of course it was back on 1978 when I was a Kid. Sure wish I still had that one. What are the alignment specs that you use? I just rebuilt my front end and put the Borgeson steering box in it .Ill be taking it to get aligned soon.
Thanks
A manual steering box might ... but I am pretty invested in keeping the Borgeson quick ratio power steering. Would really mess up my belt system, not needing a power steering pump.
If you like the feel, that makes sense.
I didn't have to cut anything in the 2 cars I swapped in a Borgeson. The hybrid coupler that Bergman includes in his kit makes the swap a direct bolt in.
...Shipping in conus only included. Cash, PP f&f, others possible, PM me. Near Cleveland OH.

Power to manual adapter -$120
Borgeson u joint from a B body big block complete steering kit (I used the Bergman)-$140

depends on which steering gear box. If it's stock it's one thing. I just had a higher pressure Borgeson box installed with stock PS pump and it calls for a different fluid to prevent foaming.
Here's what I've got compared to the factory coupler -
And to the Borgeson coupler -
Borgeson developing surface rust after a few months of sitting indoors, with no weather exposure. Shame on Borgeson and Bergman. These parts are going on good collector cars, not Billy Bob's $200...
Can anyone tell me how to remove the valve section from the 800126 box? This is the part that the lines are connected to, the part is held on with 4 bolts. Will this just pull off over the steering shaft when unbolted. Is the any rebuild instruction published anywhere? The internet returns no...
1970 floor shift column from my charger. Went with an Ididit column instead. Comes with column bracket. Shaft was cut to use with a borgeson box. New wiring harness. Located in Burlington, KS. 500 obo plus shipping.
Did Borgeson or BAC ever say anything about the use of fast ratio pitman or idler arms? Are they compatible or not recommended with the borgeson setup? Can fast ratio cause any issues or is it just up to owners preference? I installed a new borgeson gear box kit, borgeson hoses and coupler with...
Hi guys, I bit the bullet and I am about to order a Borgeson 14:1 power steering box. All of the videos I see online involve dropping the steering column. Is there any way I can do this without dropping the column? Going from manual to power steering.
The front wheels are 18 x 9" with 4 3/4" back spacing. They clear the stock UCAs just fine. I'll check out what Bergman has.
MY front end has parts from a variety of suppliers.
Borgeson steering box from Bergman.
XV torsion bars.
Tie rod ends and sleeves from PST.
QA 1 sway bar.
@2:10 this guy (98Saleen) claims the Borgeson coupler has a more solid feel than the Bergman coupler. Does anyone want to comment on that? From the picture of the Bergman coupler on their website, I can't why the steering would be "loose." It looks like, if anything, the Borgeson adapter with...
I put an updated torsion-bar suspension in my E-body ragtop. It handles like my new 300C or Hellcat.
Stock K-frame with steering box brace

C-body tie-rod ends and billet sleeves
QA1 upper and lower arms
QA1 adjustable struts

Do you think the cooler is necessary?
I'm just looking into a Borgeson kit with the Bergman connector, but use the factory pump that's already in the car.
I hate to preface this with THIS but if price is not an object, the Borgeson steering box is an excellent choice. This site has a sponsor known as Bergman Auto Craft that sells a kit that makes it all a bolt in deal. It is about $900+ including shipping, or it was a couple of years ago...
