You only gain 1/2 point of compression with the 915 heads, the 452 I port flow in the 280 cfm range for the street I've done tons of them and they work great for stroker motors. contact me if you are interested I have a few sets available 724-290-2497
We have the aluminum big block heads available come ready to bolt on 2.14 and 1.81 stainless valves 10 degree locks with moly retainers and dual valve springs for .550 lift flat tappet cams. They flow 260 cfm at .600 lift out of the box. with porting to your needs available all for $1495.00
If you want to stay with the stock steel heads use a set of 452 heads they flow the best of the big block heads except for the max wedge heads. They also have hardened exhaust seats. Ported they flow around 280 CFM or better. I have done hundreds of them over the years.
No tricks to it the secret is to plan you project in advance and build your motor for the purpose you intend on using it for, that makes you a happy camper. You don't want a 1/4 mile race motor for the street.

Also porting of the heads makes a huge difference, you can get over 400 hp. with the right cam and head combination.
My brother had the same problem with his 64 Sport Fury after changing the regulator twice we sanded the back of the regulator mounting holes and used star washers and also cleaned paint off firewall by mounting holes worked great after that.
The heads will still work great the flow is 290 cfm at .700 lift

Not yet we are still discussing it, trying to decide if it is feasible, when you can make 500 hp with ported steel heads would there be a market for them?

Just getting it up and running...
My name is Bruce I have a performance shop Toth Performance and Port cylinder heads. I have 40 years experience and the majority of my porting is on Mopar heads. I also offer new aluminum big and small block CPPA/Toth Performance Street Fighter heads with three levels of porting available...
I just did 3 of the 408 motors, they went out the door for $3500.00 for the short block. You can make close to 500 hp. with the right head work.
Toth Performance
You also need to replace the rod bolts with ARP bolts and have them re-sized along with bushing the pin end. It would be cheaper and better for you to bur aftermarket H-beam rods with the .990 pin size. They are much stronger I never use stock rods in any of my motors. I've been in the business...
