Picked up a 69 charger shell a few years ago and have been collecting parts since then. Its an hp 383 with factory air. Trying to find out what mopars i can harvest the a.c. system out of that will bolt into my charger.
thanks car nut for the info. I am looking into buying that 70 project. i have most of the 69 parts that should be able to bolt right on to the 70. do you know if there are any other differences i need to be aware of to clone this 70 project into a 69. other than hood fenders, grill, grill...
my son who is in the navy found his dream car a 69 charger with an hp 383 and air. he knew it was going to need quarters floors and trunk floors, and possibly a new roof skin. the car turned out to be much rustier than described. the frame rails front and rear are almost completely rotted away...
What is needed to turn a 68 charger rolling chassis into a complete 69 charger ? Do I need to change more than the quarters, doors, fenders.grill and tail panel ? I assume the rest of the car is identical.
interested in drivers side rear pan and passenger side front. can you give me an estimate on shipping to boise Idaho?

my son who is in the navy, just found his dream car a 69 charger. I am looking to see if anyone out there might be heading from Chicago going west, with an empty trailor. my son is in florida but needs to get the car to Idaho from Chicago, or atleast somewhere in between so that I can trailor it...
just a quick update cause I dont think let anyone know what the outcome was. when it comes to bolts I,m somewhat of a horder I don't throw any away, so I started looking thru the cans of bolts that I had and found a bolt that matched the other thrust plate bolts and it was hollowed out. I...
that is the same pic that was in my 1977 service manual. this was the only manual that said anything at all about the thrust plate installation. I guess I,ll just have to go out to the garage and drain the water out and remove the water pump and timing cover to get a better look at things.
well I looked thru 4 different automotive manuals. none of them said anything about a special bolt for the camshaft thrust plate for a 318. but one of them did show a pic of the thrust plate mounted to the engine with only 3 bolts in it. it had a chain oil tab in the bottom rh hole. when I took...
I wasn't aware that there was such a bolt in the cam retainer plate. I,ll have to look thru my manual for it. the cam bearings should be correct because I did not remove them because the engine didn't have a lot of miles on it. yes the oil slinger is in place. with the vibration damper off you...
