The different emissions decal lends towards the hood being swapped when new on the lot or nearly new when they would be on the wrecking yard.
Ever work at a car dealership and see the swapping that happens to sell a car? Lots of it went on. I got to do a good amount of it.
@Moparfiend I looked at the 70 Plymouth service manual. The tightening reference part you have there is at the bottom of the 1970 A body with 4 piston fixed caliper section. Those calipers are bolted together thus the "caliper assembly bridge bolts" b-bodies don't have those.
The the floating...
System voltage, or darn close. You compare it to the battery volts.
Should be low/mid 14's
A fully charged battery is 12.6
What is your charging voltage? Maybe it's not charging and that's why the lights are dim?
The paint on the metal will not bother the ground. The ground connection is made from the bolt head to the terminal, and to the body through the threads of the bolt.
The factory never removed paint at grounds and they made millions of cars that made it through warranty just fine.

The camshaft profile is where your missing vacuum went.
Probably didn't hurt the heads.
Could have worn the guides or valve stems.
Since it's not oil fouling the plugs put the rockers on correctly and run it.
The power brakes being stiff is not good, and could be dangerous.
Crashing is not...
I has a single plane aftermarket intake and headers. It could have a bigger cam with low vacuum. Can you measure the total valve lift at the retainer?
How hard was the guy running this engine? How much RPM is the question. What rear gears?
Yes. Sorry. You've got it right.
I'll tell the Doc to adjust the meds again! LOL
Yes that water pump pulley is correct.
Here is a photo of a 1961 413. Alternator mounts different than 1968.
Normal. Blocks cast ahead of time. Machined on 8-12-71.
They start making 1972 cars in august 1971.
They start making 1972 engines and trans in July 1971
Congrats, sounds nice. A Toyota Cressida is a nice car. Show pics of that too.
1) Wanted ad for a used torsion bad. Get the 3 digit number from the one end, should be 663
2) magnifying glass. Don't try to go over it with a pen to make it easier to read, leave it as is. There may be another...
Normal.
Look in your service manual electrical section. To do charging system retests it uses 1200 RPM in many instances. It doesn't fully charge at idle speed. They made millions of cars like this and they made it through the warranty period and decades after. Not a problem. It's better...
