67 GTX tail lamp body question

Cleaning up the pot metal tail light bodies and I noticed both have this little pictured bends. Is this factory or accident damage? I held a straight edge in one picture to help see.

Probably just pulled to tight when mounted. I suspect the mounting points are close to the bend.

Should be straight. Don't overtighten at the mounting nuts.
