I can't remember for sure the appearance/style of the "383" decal on my parent's new '71 Road Runner 383 bahama yellow with air grabber hood. I thought it was some kind of reflective material and don't even remember if it was a dark color or a light color. Anyone know the correct application...
According to my photo many years ago, I removed the hood on the '72 Satellite the last time I pulled the 318 motor. This next time I would like to make an attempt to leave the hood in place. Is this idea feasible? Who has tried it before? Thank you.
Today when I picked up my Mopar 340 connecting rods after having the rod bolts replaced and big end reconditioned at a Mexican diesel machine shop, I was told six of the eight rods required demagnetizing. I was not aware of this procedure prior to today. They took care of it at no extra charge.
Not yet. Still wording on the rebuild. Took forever to find a shop that refurbish connecting rods. Finally find a machine shop that specializes in diesel engines that can help me out with that @ $400 Mexican Pesos each (about $20 USD).
My shoulder belt is constantly coming off while "attached" and driving my 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus. I did not realize I might be missing the same plastic part in the photo which I imagine would improve the fit and performance.
I need to choose between the two used sets of clips I have. One set has the metal piece almost flat against the plastic, the other is angled about 45 degrees from the metal. What is the factory orientation?
And to install the screw, is it necessary to dis-assmble the plastic piece from the...
Granted, it's the light switch most used indoors (turned on & off several times daily), but now both the CFL and LED bulbs in the kitchen ceiling have both gone caput (the CFL first, the LED later). So much for advertised ten-year lifespans or whatever is claimed.
This thread just reminded me how we saw flight attendants back in the day (or how they saw themselves):

Used "Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating" (by turtle wax) today for the first time after wash/dry. It's like water when it comes out of the spray bottle. Seems too easy to apply for it to provide any protection but willing to wait and see. (photos taken when sun hiding behind the clouds)
Update: I cleaned the pistons up one more time after making sure the piston pins slid into each and every one. On three pistons, the pin only slid in from one side. Evidently, the snap ring retainer groove has a very small imperfection on one side, but it is on the outside of the groove so the...
I find it up for auction in 2023, but can't find the results. Anyone know what happened to it? (if you notice my profile icon, my current project is a similar vehicle but a 1972 model). Thank you.
