Happy Thanksgiving and what are you thankful for!?

I have a lot to be thankful for, and I don't give thanks as much as I should. I'm grateful to have family, friends, a hobby/sickness, and most of all... a wonderful wife who has my back through all of life's ups and downs.

    Front drum brakes

I'm rebuilding the front drum brakes on my 69 rr and am in need of the gasket that fits in the backing plate to spindle. I have the one that goes between the spindle and backing plate but can't find any info on this one. Any help would be appreciated.

Happy Thanksgiving and what are you thankful for!?

Yes, I agree, but the natives really didn't want to help our ancestors, our ancestors took it away from them with repeating arms. And thank God we were able to out-gun the British!

What proof do you have that it was actually Galen? It actually could have been anybody posing as him.

Engineers really don’t think about maintenance Spark plugs Hemi Ram….

Yes, they are turning into collector cars now. The turbo cars are bringing in over $20k regardless of miles if they run correctly. But like $3k isf they don;t lol because who wants to fix that nightmare? I thought about getting one because I have a lot more time then money, but I am not sure I...

    Trunk Lock repair manual

Nice stuff but when prices get involved, the thread turns into a sale thread? Yennes can probably help the ones that live on his side of the 'pond' and yet let us on the other side to see some incite on the procedure......let's not turn this into an ad. Thanks.

deep frying a turkey........ any tips?

Pennzoil 0w-20 if you like a European flair, Quakertown State plain 30W if you like PA crustiness, just don't use any STP, it gives it a rather Southern bouquet but you'll pay for it the next day. Really though almost all grocery stores here sell peanut oil by the half gallon. Good luck...

Ballpark estimate for the cost to do a 5.7 Hemi swap in a '70 Charger

Looking at 440 Source its a 438 with a 440 stroke crank in a 383. 451 with the 400 block. Anyone got a cheap 400 standard bore block? LOL. I would prefer to stay with something that likes to rev.

    New in Colorado

Hey all,I just wanted to introduce myself and my road runner. I'm Eric and I own a 1969 road runner. I bought it in 1982 for 600.00. It was my daily driver for 10 years. I set it aside and in 2004 I completely disassembled it and put it on a rotisserie, painted the under side engine bay and...

Ballpark estimate for the cost to do a 5.7 Hemi swap in a '70 Charger

Man, I've forgotten all the numbers......but a 400 block and 440 crank makes 451 iirc. That's also a good combo. Don't know about the 383 combos since the bore is smaller as I like big bore engines.

Ballpark estimate for the cost to do a 5.7 Hemi swap in a '70 Charger

Put a turbo on the 383. We do all this dicking around with heads and cams and strokers. Guys are slapping turbos on junk and they make so much power they can’t keep them on the track. Anyone been to test and tune night lately?

    Trunk Lock repair manual

Well, it wasn’t intended as a way to promote my services. I just wanted to demonstrate how the mechanism works in case someone wants to repair their own. Additionally, I would provide the technical drawing so that custom rivets could be made.

Ballpark estimate for the cost to do a 5.7 Hemi swap in a '70 Charger

Depends on how much work you do yourself, what kind of deal on the engine/trans, etc. My 5.7 Hemi swap is best thing I could have done to this car! With the NAG1 5 speed auto, it cruises to 18-20 mpg on E85 and makes over 330rwhp and 390rwtq! I got my entire drivetrain for $1,250 out of a...
