Engineers really don’t think about maintenance Spark plugs Hemi Ram….

I found out, in 1969, why there's a hex on the plug socket. It's for when you change the plug on the right side of a Charger R/T next to the control arm you need a box wrench! I remember changing plugs from underneath the driver's side of a '73 New Yorker. When I did my '01 Forester I had to...

    Bitchin' Rides is ending!

@Mopar Hunter I agree, when they chopped the top I turned it off. Same thing with Roadkill. They acted like a bunch SoCal yahoos when they were driving the Dodge motorhome on the highway with parts falling off. And then the same episode give or take they had no idea that you're supposed to...

I want Bacon with extra bacon and a side of bacon with extra bacon, oh, and I want double bacon! When I was going to Subway I would order the salad bowl instead of a sandwich. I would order Double, Double, Double. Double meat, double cheese, double bacon! I was there so often, when I was next in...

'63 Sport Fury Dash Gauge Issue With the lights on

@Longknife @EARLY B @pnora Thanks for the responses guys! I have an NOS regulator and I will probably do that first. I had thought that the bulbs being out were just bad bulbs but I mentioned them because I thought they may have been part of the symptoms. I pulled out my FSM and I'd forgotten...

Old dealership emblem, to keep or not to keep...

Like @eldubb440 this dealership is still in business and is local to me so I say put it back on, it's part of the history and personality. https://www.cherryhilljeep.com/ When I found out the dealership that sold Max I e-mailed them and offered to pay for the search through their records. Sadly...

'63 Sport Fury Dash Gauge Issue With the lights on

When I turn the Max's headlights on the gas gauge and the temp gauge go full over no matter what they are reading. Might this be the voltage regulator or maybe the printed circuit? Also, the left side dash lights are out. Does anybody have experience with the new printed circuits being offered?

    Good ol days

Or like the original owner of Max did and wait until it was a leftover and buy it off the showroom floor! By Darrell Davis's book the dealership had ordered a bunch of Maxes and mine was the last one.

    Good ol days

That's what I tell people, you could walk into your friendly neighborhood Plymouth or Dodge dealer and order a 3200 pound car with 425 horsepower and the salesman would say "Thank you for your deposit, see you in 6 or 8 weeks"!

64 Sport Fury Project - Run away or take it on?

As @YY1 says check the cowl! My Max shows 23,500 miles on the speedometer. I am willing to believe it is close. It was a daily driver and has small holes in the corners, BUT the cowl was fixed! I had a '63 Savoy 4 door parts car that I never had the heart to break up. It showed 52,000 miles and...

Who Likes Ships? We Have Aircraft and Trains.

The USS New Jersey went into drydock for repairs at the Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard. The same drydock where she was fitted out after she was launched! Right before she was supposed to go back to Camden they did scans of the hull and found she was really thin in some spots. To help pay for the...

If you win the Lottery on Monday, Where will we find you on Tuesday

I would take care of family and friends, set up education funds for the kids in the neighborhood. Pay for improvements in the township and the county. Give 10% to God. Since about 1989, any deal that I make, God gets 10%. Jesus said "Give in His name and it will be returned to you seven times"...

VIN and Fender Tag dont match up, Do you SUE or what?

When I bought Max the second owner told me it was a real car because he had been a student of the original owner and bought it during the original owner’s divorce. The first time I opened the hood I knew it was a real car. I had early B-Bodies and I knew what they looked like and Max didn’t look...
