A little custom touch I did here with the radiator support. It was all bent and flimsy before so made this brace out of some sheet metal and welded it in. For the dies I drilled a hole, put a socket under neath it and stuck an old spindle on top of it and pressed it together and made perfect...
Well I’ve got more than a few all nighters in this build. I’ve been trying to keep this from sitting in my backyard for too long especially before winter hits. It’s no show car by any means but it’ll be a great driver. Heck it already was before it caught on fire. Hoping to get it down the road...
Made some progress on the road runner over the last couple weeks. Got the engine and transmission back in with a new wiring harness, dash somewhat complete, door panels and put the front end back together. Today I got it to start up and run for a minute. Still needs some fine tuning but I’m just...
Need a windshield for my 69 roadrunner. Preferably pick up in the northern Kentucky or southern Ohio/Indiana area as shipping glass can be expensive and more likely to break.
Looking for a lower dash pad for a 69 roadrunner non a/c. I would prefer black but for the right price I’ll take a different color and paint it. It doesn’t need to be super nice and pristine.
Thanks in advance.
Update: now getting ready to swing the engine and trans back in the car. I was going to get this done last night but I ran into a snag with the pilot bushing I ordered. The bushing was about thirty thousandths too big so I had order a new one.
Got my dash mostly complete. Still need to get a...
Yeah sorry I haven’t been updating this thread that much. It’s mostly just been sandblasting and painting small parts and resorting other used karts I got. I got a used dash harness from a buddy. He just gave it to me along with a new bulkhead connector. I’m not sure if I’m going to run it...
A set of seats from a 2014 Chrysler 300. I had these in my 69 Roadrunner when it caught on fire so that’s where the damage is from. I welded some manual sliders on them. The backseat was not in the car when it caught on fire because I had not got done modifying it to fit the car. You could throw...
A set of door emblems and a trunk emblem from a 73 charger. They do have some pitting. $40 for the set. I Would prefer local pickup in northern KY or meet up at the mopar nationals next month.
Thanks FBBO
I would pull the lower control arms off and box them in. You can get the plates online or make them yourself if you have access to a welder, it’s pretty easy to fabricate. Here’s mine, I’ve also got firm feel tubular upper control arms.
I think the only company that makes tubular lowers is qa1.
I’m with Erie insurance. Going to switch to Grundy because they’re easier to work with and they are actually cheaper. Also on that note, my insurance company did send out a fire inspector and they could not determine what caused it.
I’ve got that switch on my build list.
Yes. They gave me 75% of what I had it insured for so I got to keep the title to the car which I was really happy about. I took out the engine and what was left of the interior, dash, air box, etc.. I sanded down the engine bay to bare metal and hit it with some primer. Next will be wire...
I had KYBs on the front of my Roadrunner. They leaked all of the shock fluid out as soon as I set the car on the ground. Now I have a pair from a company called Sachs. They only make them for the front though. You can get them from eBay for $90 a pair and the ride quality is great.
