Without pressure test it's a guess. Could've been a stuck 2/3 shift valve. sticking governor? possible. If the high gear clutch circuit is leaking, reatiion shaft seal rings, clutch piston seals? It won't be long before it shows itself. Doug

Worked on my wife's Triumph TR6 barn find. This will be my priority to have ready for spring. Nice simple vehicle to work on AND you can still get reasonable priced parts (compared to Mopars). I have come to appreciate why Englishmen drink warm beer though. Cheers.

Most of them didn't. I believe that the 70 Charger R/T V code 440 Sixpack production numbers are 347 4 speed cars,and 337 automatic cars. My car is one of the 337 automatic cars built. I have converted mine to a 4 speed car and upgraded the rear axle to a Dana 60 with 3.54 gears.
