We have raccoons constantly. I'm surprised the foxes and coyotes are not eating the raccoons. Maybe the loose skin/fur makes a difficult kill. I've seen this Mule Deer buck around. Based on his antlers he's old and he may have been forced out by a younger buck. He's usually by himself.

Have I fed the the wildlife? Guilty.

Little feller at the wife’s birdfeeder! They love that stuff in the spring!

This was taken in my backyard, from this distance across my lake. My last home.

Came home to find this young Great Horned Owl in our front yard. He hung around for a couple of days with his parents close by (they left him a dead rat for dinner) and then flew away.

This guy looks like a cross between an owl, a cat, and a founding father

Lots of squirrels here.....and there's a couple that will come into the shop looking for a handout. There 'used to be' over 200 acres of undeveloped land behind me that offered all kinds of smaller wild life including ducks, deer, coyote, skunk and all kinds of birds. Now it's a huge housing development and haven't seen much of any of that except for birds. I'm just grateful that the land stayed undeveloped for over 35 years. I'm going on 41 years of being here.
Not exactly a backyard, this was taken at a nearby pond:

I don't have to go very far to see those! Armand Bayou is just a few miles down the road. The bayou feeds into Clear Lake and that feeds into Galveston Bay. Lots of wild life in and around Armand Bayou park. Saw the majority of them while canoeing the several bayous near me.
