I got the 1st MMX/microsquirt ignition setup right off of the dyno last winter when Molnar sent me the wrong reluctor wheel to use the MSD 6-hemi controller.
I was having issues early on trying to figure things out with it.
It would backfire and kickback when starting sometimes.
After fighting with hot stalling, backfiring, and hot starting issues throughout the year, I finally reached one of my goals. I thought I would be able to squeeze 9.50's out of this combo and finally did....

I'm finally getting somewhere with this motor.
Got into the 9.70's today and it ran pretty consistently in the low .80's.
2 Timsehots and 6 rounds later I decided to take a nap and was runner-up...
I haven't seen a gen3 with a crank trigger on it.
I already have an msd6 hemi box and reluctor for this motor.
I can't keep buying stuff.
After speaking with several people at Dragway 42s race this weekend, including 2 tuners, I've decided to pull the motor and run the msd.

Out in Ohio today doing some testing before this weekends race.
With 3800 D.A., managed 4 10.0x passes at 132.
Pretty happy with that for the conditions.
