Highly recommend both Dr Diff and John Ambrose of Muscle Car brakes.
Both sell quality and both have outstanding customer service in my personal experience.
There is one end of the threaded rod where the pin goes in that is countersunk. I have found it is much easier to punch through from this end, it gives the punch more travel as opposed to the opposite side not countersunk.
Just verified, they do NOT match.
PO told me yesterday that the original owner actually blew up the 440 and the PO bought the car as I found it (except for the hood).
So, my guess now is he sold the entire drivetrain and put in this 383, 833 4 speed and 489 rear.
I am amazed at the wealth of knowledge.
Thanks sincerely for all of the input everyone.
Been busy with work but verified VIN matches radiator support and rear quarter, still looking for the K frame numbers.
I meet with a local Mopar guru Sunday night to get a lead on some of the parts...
Thanks to you and Beekeeper both
VIN matches and looks original.
Radiator support too (upside down as you mentioned)
Still trying to find trunk VIN and going to lift her up and check four speed.
The entire engine compartment was painted black and the fenders are really smooth so I’m...
No worries , I’d rather know. I appreciate everybody’s time and input. If this guy lied, he was really good. I guess anything is possible.
I’ll start looking at everything a little closer and see what I can learn and post back.
Hmm
Maybe I need to check everything a little closer.
A buddy of mine pointed out the A12 on the broadcast sheet yesterday so maybe I’m getting ahead of myself posting all this.
I’m sure I’m about to learn a lot about these cars.
Good thing is I didn’t buy it thinking it was anything really...
None taken. Still learning. First Mopar since I was a kid.
VIN is M code and says Manual Six Pack on “remarks” of broadcast sheet. So all A12 cars were Dana’s?
Vin
No fender tag, but do have broadcast sheet.
8 3/4 489 rear is all I know so far.
I turned wheels up on the lift and both turned same direction.
Just haven’t had time to study it all yet.
