I used Kilmat on the floors and in the doors of my 69 GtX. Behind the rear seat I used a repro cardboard barrier that I covered with self adhesive duct insulation from Lowe’s. Made a huge difference in sound reduction. I’m very happy with the results.

A buried tank has some benefits; you don't lose any land area in your yard. And the tank is protected from accidents, or deliberate damage. Also the tank is at a more even temperature - no more hot summer days building up tank pressure.
Plus it looks better when it looks invisible. :)
