Summit Racing brand Gas Ported Piston Rings?
You could inquire about the manufacturer. They could be Total Seal boxed for Summit Racing. I get parts from NPW, formerly EPWi, and their white box rings are hastings rings at a substantial price reduction.- 69Bee

Flameless wrist pin install
I use a cutting torch secured in a vise so that I can heat the rod pin end. I takes me about 20 minutes to set out the pistons, identify the front, ID the rod number and front, lube the pins and pistons, then heat and install 8 pistons to rods. The torch is below the overhead propane shop...- 69Bee

New 360 build with oil leaking into coolant
I always vacuum check "New" heads to check valve seal and usually find at least one valve I have to cut the seat and grind the valve for it to seal. When they build the complete heads, they take the bare heads, populate the valves, install seals and springs, and stuff it into a bag and box...- 69Bee

This is my take. First, on each side of the block deck, there is a passage from the cam to pass oil to the head rocker oiling passage. On either side of these oil holes, are coolant holes. My choice is oil going into one or both water holes, thus your transition point, but why? You already...- 69Bee

deep frying a turkey........ any tips?
My wife's family cooked theirs this way and I found it to taste good; I prefer the crunchy skin anyway. Be very careful, hot oil and all, and I think the turkey needs to be thawed out.
