It's been around for years and is a decent carb. Just like any of them. Holley, Edelbrock, QFT, APD, Book, Braswell, Proform, XRB, AED, XRC, Pro Systems, IRD, KB Carbs, Chuck Nuytten, Williams, etc. They all need some tweaking and tuning.

I run 93 in all my classics except my 74 New Yorker. It will run fine on 87. I will occasionally fill up with 110 in my Challenger with a 528 Hemi on the street and use VP NO2 on spray.

I have repaired blocks with damage like that with no issues. As mentioned already run a stud in that hole after the repair and it will be fine.

I only have 2 car garage but I make the most of it. I have a 10-4" celling. The hoist does help. Mine is an Advantage 7000 lb. I use it mainly for storage. I do have the bridge jack for when I do have to work on something. I also added a winch that aids for pulling a car up that is not running...

Have someone position it to where it feels good to you while sitting in the seat if you can't reach down to do it yourself, mark it, drill the holes and mount it. A slight angle forward is all it needs.
