wtf... love that dart btw... that thing screams "Dirt road" :) And i had a 383 68 charger, it was so bland i barely remember it honestly.. how bout heads/cam wake it up and if that doesn't do it then you have the top end to build something really wicked...
I have not read the whole thread, but if sawing holes that big, go with. 6.4/392 and be done with it.

The 383 was rebuilt less than 200 miles and 3 years ago. I just am not impressed with it. The red car is so much faster....
Heck, even this Dart is faster...
Granted, it has 4.10 gears and weighs 500 lbs less, it is just a mild 360 with the same cam specs as the 383 in the Jigsaw car.
Even the Moly rings are expensive now. Total Seal Moly rings from 440 Source are $175, Summit Racing is almost the same price ($164) Hastings Moly rings are $148. This was looking at the 4.375" bore 1/6x1/6x3/16" rings.
For expensive, look at doing cylinder heads with Beryllium Copper valve...

so.. stroked 400, with heads and all that.. gonna not be cheap.. figure 7kish.. still less than a swap. leave the stock heads and save 3k... put that towards the trans :)
oh i'm aware.. i figure even to build a street hemi and get it in a car and running.. 35-40k. Prestige has a crate kit for like 28k. Thing is.. that's INSANE.. if i needed power i would build a 400 and be done. Right now i need to get off my *** and get a shop to do a 408 for me though :) I...
