Nice stuff but when prices get involved, the thread turns into a sale thread? Yennes can probably help the ones that live on his side of the 'pond' and yet let us on the other side to see some incite on the procedure......let's not turn this into an ad. Thanks.
Pennzoil 0w-20 if you like a European flair, Quaker State plain 30W if you like PA crustiness, just don't use any STP, it gives it a rather Southern bouquet but you'll pay for it the next day.
Really though almost all grocery stores here sell peanut oil by the half gallon.
Good luck, and...
Looking at 440 Source its a 438 with a 440 stroke crank in a 383. 451 with the 400 block. Anyone got a cheap 400 standard bore block? LOL. I would prefer to stay with something that likes to rev.
Hey all,I just wanted to introduce myself and my road runner. I'm Eric and I own a 1969 road runner. I bought it in 1982 for 600.00. It was my daily driver for 10 years. I set it aside and in 2004 I completely disassembled it and put it on a rotisserie, painted the under side engine bay and...
Man, I've forgotten all the numbers......but a 400 block and 440 crank makes 451 iirc. That's also a good combo. Don't know about the 383 combos since the bore is smaller as I like big bore engines.

Guys are slapping turbos on junk and they make so much power they can’t keep them on the track.
Anyone been to test and tune night lately?
Well, it wasn’t intended as a way to promote my services. I just wanted to demonstrate how the mechanism works in case someone wants to repair their own. Additionally, I would provide the technical drawing so that custom rivets could be made.
I remember oil was in a 5 gallon container years ago.....and also remember paying 49 cents a pound for brisket and you could get turkeys for.....heck, fer cheap!
Depends on how much work you do yourself, what kind of deal on the engine/trans, etc.
My 5.7 Hemi swap is best thing I could have done to this car! With the NAG1 5 speed auto, it cruises to 18-20 mpg on E85 and makes over 330rwhp and 390rwtq!
I got my entire drivetrain for $1,250 out of a...
The largest mall in Canada is the West Edmonton Mall, containing over 800 stores and the world's largest indoor lake and has the world's largest parking lot (over 20,000 spaces and 10,000 overflow spaces)
the 400 i believe is .090 bigger bore than a 383 and looking at 440 sources kits they have a 500 inch kit for the 400 that uses a 4.125 stroke instead of 4.250.. be happy spinning along with that.. (i worry too much bout blowing stuff up) Or.. they make i think a 451 for the 383 with a shorter...
