I’ve had one of the Hobarts from TSC for about 15-20 years. I keep it in a cabinet, but put it out in the sun to recharge regularly. I bought a better headband for it a few years ago. I’m no pro, but it’s been a good helmet in my opinion.

Ground issue, verify the front turn signal/park lamps housing/sockets are grounded properly. Housings ground through their mounting screws normally, fresh paint can interfere. The bulb socket can develop resistance to the housings as well.
