I finally changed the exhaust flange gasket, still making that same clicking noise and now it seems there’s an oil leak (I’m assuming it needs a valve cover gasket as the smoke is coming from that side of the car and smells like oil) in that same side of the car. Could a valve cover...
Yep....I spent a few hours this week looking for the tri-sided nut for my air-cleaner lid. Put it on my bench on Sunday while cutting a new stud. Went to grab it again and it was gone.
Drove about 45 minutes south and back to buy a new one.

The one bolt had the backside nut in a pocket so I had to use a locknut. I didn't paint it cause it's pretty hard to see. The button head bolts stay below the surface above the recess.
