Lots of off/on, and a little modification, but 12 hours later it's close enough for the time being. I've got to put headlight buckets in, plus all the hardware.

The top trim piece on the grill was sticking out farther than the hood profile line.

Little more work on the X today. New hardware for headlight buckets. Took me a couple times to get the right ones in the right spot.

Got the hardware kit for the grille. I also have new trim pieces for upper and lower grille center. But first I rebroke the lower left tower, the stud goes in. So mixed up some epoxy, put the grille in and lined up the stud. Next week I'll get the brackets on the grille center. And hopefully get the grille in for the last time.

More details on the X. Installed the hook for hood latch. Even though it will have hood pins, I wanted a center anchor point.

Adjusted latch. Then shortened the lever on the release. Also sprayed the arm with flex seal to black it out

Put new antenna base on. The first nut I went to put on had some flashing. Luckily I had another.

I learned the hard way to always spin on the emblem nuts before installing.

Snuck in a few minutes today on the grille. I had taken the metal brackets off my grille center for blasting and painting. They were originally riveted on, but I was extremely nervous about doing that. So I bought some 4mm by .07 metric Allen button head bolts 6mm long. With flanged nuts & lock nuts. I painted the flange nuts to disguise them a little. I bought the hardware at Ace Hardware.

The one bolt had the backside nut in a pocket so I had to use a locknut. I didn't paint it cause it's pretty hard to see. The button head bolts stay below the surface above the recess.
