I was there for Friday only. As far as the heavy police presence in the last couple years, thank the non registered clowns that show up there just to wreak havoc on the highway and somehow think they are entitled to do it in the name of fun (IE burnouts and drag racing). Driving around on...
My 69 Malibu is the most dependable vehicle I own. It’s been all over the eastern US. I live in NJ, it’s been to NC, ME, Niagara Falls several times, Cleveland several times. Did 2500 miles on power tour in 2019. It’s never left me stranded anywhere. It’s just a little 307, 2BBL, powerglide car...
So I ended up acquiring one from another member here. I’ve been looking at it under the car and can see how it mounts to the frame rail but the plate that’s on it near the ball, there is no way it will mount anywhere so I’m trying to figure how to modify it so it will work.
Does anyone have any type of drawings or pictures of a trailer hitch setup for 68-70 Charger? I need to either make or find one so I can tow a small trailer on Hot Rod Drag Week. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to mount one is since it's a little difficult with the tail pipes and...
Thanks. I do more reading here than posting. I spent the last year doing a marathon rebuild on it. I’ll do a restoration thread on it now that it’s finished. I did a ton of upgrades to it compared to when I built it the first time.
I don’t post a whole lot, but this was the first time I’ve attended a Mopar event with a car and it was an awesome experience. It wore me out but had a great time over the weekend. This was the first time I’ve had my Charger out since it was wrecked in 2016. I literally finished it Thursday...
I’ve been dealing with this issue for the last 2 months with him. Says they shipped 6 times already then nothing ever shows up. Seems to be an ongoing problem with communication and/or not being 100% truthful.
I have Hooker comps on my Charger, I had to crush the tube to get them to fit right. Looking back, I should have put HP manifolds on it instead and saved alot of time and headaches.
Since none of the cars ever were my everyday car, I tore them apart and started from scratch doing what I could, when I could. It usually takes me about 2.5 years to complete a car from start to finish. I'm 28, single, and don't really have any major bills to pay so I am kinda lucky in that...
I have found most of my cars by word of mouth or in the local newspaper. The Charger I found out about by talking to another Charger owner at a car show I was at with my Chevelle.
Definitly pull the whole dash out. I'm faced with do I want to pull the windshield out to redo the dash now. I have to put a dash harness in my car which I should have done while it was apart, but didn't have the extra $500 for it at the time. Mine has all that accessory wiring in it also...
I used plain old DuPont Chromabase 99K. I blew a couple coats on for coverage, turned the fan off, pulled the gun back about 2 feet and dusted a coat on to get the textured effect.
