I doubt it would be much different than the inline filter that comes with the 8131 kit but it doesn't matter now because this is such a mess I may have to give up and go with ugly rubber hoses.
Have a 3/8 hard line coming from the sending unit.
A fuel pump with 5/16 barbs.
A vapor separator...
Haven’t sparred a live round since July because overworked with moving into the new house and all that goes with it. I’m tired but go in anyway. Only free body is some white belt who is about 60lbs heavier than me and much taller. Half my age. I tell him I’m his rest round so chill. Thirty...
IT JUST GETS BETTER!
Hard fuel line coming from the sending unit is 3/8. Fuel pump is not set up for a traditional hook up to the vapor cannister as it is a 383. It has two nipples, no female threaded outlet. No wonder everything is leaky.
So... what do I do here for the BEST results?

This is all I need to slide onto the 5/16 hard line and flare, then it will connect to the carb, correct? Which has the same setup as the original Carter AVS I believe.

No surprises there. The metro has gotten exponentially worse year by year since I got there in the 90s. And when you get out of the metro it’s always some cowboy in a lifted truck tailgating people just trying to drive safely. Can’t win.
Ok well I would like to suggest that mods consider doing a 180 on this issue considering the absolute deluge of scams that have been flooding into the classic MOPAR market. Facebook is especially rife with scams now. As they say, lies die in the light or whatever. And open sales provide a good...
That's all castoff anyway. Just running vapor separator to an AVS 2 on a 383 now and giving up on the initial plan and bending my own line. Done and done. Appreciate all the help on this thread from everyone though. Personally I enjoy trying to figure these things out and would have liked to use...
Not even close. That is also where the coil is mounted. I had a photo somewhere but we got a load of snow last night and I have to go deal with that now with a torn ankle otherwise I would dig it up. It's gonna be a great day!
Ok this post came in after I replied. Yeah I am going to do the same thing now that I have access to tools. Just need to find the correct fitting for the AVS2 inlet.
I have no idea what I am looking at here as far as what this line came from. The setup my car came with certainly does not look anything like what you show here. My line splits halfway down the valve cover into a junction that fed to both inlets on the Holley DP. Fuel section of the manual has...
Probably doesn’t matter anymore. Pretty sure the air cleaner won’t clear. Won’t be sure until tomorrow. But my friend has a bender and flare tool so likely just going to give up on this and go custom. I need a 5/16 -20 fitting for that project yeah?
Maybe even smarter and much easier. 2.25" tube with a -20 inlet at least 1/2" deep, and -20 male end about 1/4" long as shows on the bolt i posted. I would have to measure the diameter of the flow hole and the eyelet for total diameter. But now I am going to pass out. I'm dead tired.
