I need a bolt I don't think exists.

IT JUST GETS BETTER!

Hard fuel line coming from the sending unit is 3/8. Fuel pump is not set up for a traditional hook up to the vapor cannister as it is a 383. It has two nipples, no female threaded outlet. No wonder everything is leaky.

So... what do I do here for the BEST results?

Install a M3672 440 fuel pump with the threaded outlet? Will this be overkill? It's sounding enticing to me considering it'll solve a lot of line issues.

I didn't get much for results searching 440 pump on a 383.

Good news. Same engine, same pump.

I thought it was higher volume to provide for the 6 pack.
Lol, whatever volume pump you want, but they're all interchangeable 350/361/383/400/413/426/440

Higher volume, firmer spring, more likely to wear out the cam eccentric or the pushrod.

Ask me how I know.

We still talking about a banjo? I would have plumbed it up days ago and been cruising in the car.

I doubt it would be much different than the inline filter that comes with the 8131 kit but it doesn't matter now because this is such a mess I may have to give up and go with ugly rubber hoses.

Have a 3/8 hard line coming from the sending unit.
A fuel pump with 5/16 barbs.
A vapor separator with 5/16 inlet and 5/16 outlet (I think)
And a carb with a 5/8-20 threaded inlet or 3/8 barb.

The best way I see to fix this mess is IF 440 stock steel lines fit around my motor I install the 440 fuel pump and then all I need is a $15 adapter to the carb. Whole things costs like $100 including new clamps.

Anyone know if a 440 fuel line kit will fit? Seems it would be fine except I see some with a bend that runs around the front divot in the valve covers that might be a problem.
