When I rebuilt the 318 on my 70 Satellite Conv project, I ended up replacing the oil adapter plate because the original one was pitted. I bought a repo kit that came with the gasket and fitting as well. I was pretty excited when it came time for me to start the engine for the first time as it...
UPDATE 11/06/2023: Nov 3rd was the first time I was able to drive the car under its own power. I waited quite a while for the correct radiator to be restored by Glen-Ray and for the original carb to be restored by HARMS. I still have a few bugs to work out of it, the front disc brakes grip way...
I am trying to identify the screws that hold the weather seal down to the vent window. Are they self-tapping or are they machine thread? The Tim Wise books don't identify them.
If someone were to point me to where I can buy the correct screws that would also be helpful.

So I looked high and low for the correct side molding clips for my 1970 FM3 Satellite Convertible. I ended up short a few and used some metal spring type molding clips. Fast forward two weeks (mind you I have been looking for them for 2 years), I found out by pure accident the clips I was...

UPDATE: 5/2/2023: Well it has been 3 years + 3 days since I started working on this project. It is very close to being done. I am waiting on a radiator from GlenRay so that I can start it and drive it. The front bumper will be installed next week when the cushions come in. The restored...
Thanks for the pictures. I think this is interesting. It appears that our Satellite hoods are different! Mine has these 4 oval holes that the wires run inside, while yours doesn't have the holes at the bottom so the wires run on the outside. I bet yours is a much earlier built car then mine...
I think I am all set now. The rally and non-rally switches are different only in the finish of the switch. Non-rally is satin PN:2947920 and rally is the older chrome one PN: 2864014. I found one on fleabay, so hopefully it will all work out. sucks that I have to pull my dash a part to change...
