    My MIL had a reverse mortgage that supplemented her meager SS, when she passed in 2018 I bought the house back for 60K cash that she had drawn out if it. I renovated it and it turned into a love it or list it. We still own it and it's appraised at over 300K.

    Decking

    I rebuilt my 5 decks 3 years ago with treated and stained lumber. I just repaired them with $200 in treated lumber and re-stained them with 15 gallons or $700 of stain. I should of gone with composite and been one and done vs constant repair and upkeep. Live and learn
