    Cost to rechrome a bumper

Did they do a good job? They were the lower priced one in my previous post.

    Cost to rechrome a bumper

I've been checking with ones within 3 hours of my location so I can drop off/pickup and save shipping. The price varies WILDLY! One was $900 for my front bumper and $700 + $100 for each bumper guard for the rear ('70 charger)—without requiring any straightening, etc. Yes, I double-checked that...

    The Roach

I was curious so I peeked at my copy of "Master Restoration and Judging Reference Manual 68-70 Dodge B Bodies" Vol 3.1 - Version 24 by David Wise, and I couldn't find anything in Section 4 (Interior Review) about specific clock position. I'd agree - put the handles where they don't annoy you...

What are your Mopar goals for 2025?

Get my car back from the shop all painted and reassemble it before the end of the year. Shooting for 1.5 years from start to finish - leverage lots of shops/folks in the process!

    Instrument-Specialties

I'm building a crate to send my Dash and Steering Column to Instrument-Specialties. My question for those who have sent their dash to Instrument-Specialties, do you have any drawings of what you built? Did you attach it to a pallet? Regarding the actual dash, did you remove the VIN plate...

    New mbr ...So Carolina

Welcome from the greater Spartanburg, SC area. Good luck with your project. You'll find lots of good information here and folks that have seen most everything. That's been my experience at least - recommend mastering the search function :)

    Alan's 1970 Charger Restoration

Don't I know it. Taking it to the shop makes my garage and wallet empty :)

    Alan's 1970 Charger Restoration

500-600 hours + any additional parts/paint (above the 10k of AMD already purchased).

    Alan's 1970 Charger Restoration

I ended up sending the hinges to MoparLeo to avoid messing them up. They came back great (of course) and I got them back on the car. I packed up the car and 10k worth of AMD body parts and dropped it off at the body shop (Elite Customs) yesterday (12/26/24). Excited to be on to the next phase -...

WTB Carter MS-4589SA Fuel Pump for 1970 383 HP - Used OK

Rishi, thanks for the information especially how the fuel line is routed. There is still 1 guy (and maybe only 1) that will rebuild crimped fuel pumps with updated diaphragms and values that compatible with current ethanol laced fuels. Once he retires that craft will likely be lost, but I've...

WTB Carter MS-4589SA Fuel Pump for 1970 383 HP - Used OK

Bump - I bought one that is stamped "Made in Canada" which is more correct for 68-69. Still looking for one "Made in USA".

    Restoration Tip From Forum Members

Ok, so I'm fairly new at this. But I'll pile on to the tagging and bagging. I didn't label the container with each item; however, I did label the container as I1, I2, E1 (Interior 1, Interior 2, Exterior 1) and keep a notebook of which bags are in each container & description. My tip is in...

WTB Wanted: 1970 Dodge Charger Fenders or Fender (I will buy them one at a time if neccessary). Also: complete 1970 Console, auto shifter, linkage

I drove 7hr each way (400+ miles) in July to pickup a pair of good 70 Charger fenders in Kentucky. I knew I needed them so searched daily until they popped up. We spent the night nearby before picking them up in the morning and driving back. They were $1600 for the pair which was a great deal...

    Alan's 1970 Charger Restoration

Work has been slow lately as I'm still cleaning up trees from the storm (Helene). Now that the time changed it's too dark after work to work on trees so back to the car. The machine shop reported the block is healthy, but it needs boring (likely .030), align honing, and surfacing. The heads...

Should these Door Latches Be Different?

Does anyone know of a plating place that will refinish them?

Should these Door Latches Be Different?

I did find this thread that looks like someone modified one. Driver Door Latch Modification - Anyone Done This? Also this "For Sale" post that appears to show them different on each side like mine. FOR SALE - Replated door latches from 69 b body So maybe different levers on each side is "normal"?

Should these Door Latches Be Different?

When I pulled the door catch or latch from inside the doors, the arms look different to me. Is that normal - or do I have mismatched parts? If they should be the same, which linkage/arms are correct for a 1970 Charger SE ? The drivers is on the Left and Pass on the right. Thanks Ross
