    Remember the Y2K scare?

As I said, I didn't buy into the hype. I was probably snoring by 10 PM. My wife probably stayed up to watch the ball drop at Times Square but that didn't interest me much either. After you get to a certain stage in life, the new year is just that......Another year.

    Remember the Y2K scare?

I remember it well also but never bought into all the hype. I worked for the Power company constructing electrical Sub Stations. My next door neighbor was worried and bought a 15K Watt generator and started storing food and supplies. He asked me one day if I was ready for Y2K? I replied "yup"...

Original Fan? Radiator re-core (if needed).

I'll shut up now. I always thought small block radiators had the outlet on the right side.

Original Fan? Radiator re-core (if needed).

It appears none of the parts you showed are correct for your car. No idea where that flex fan came from Probably aftermarket. Also with that 318 radiator you have the lower inlet is on the passenger side. Your Bee would have had it on the driver side. That said, you must have a 73-up water pump...

    1960 Dodge matador station wagon

I agree with that. Just not the "original equipment" claim. Tons of people get duped by that claim

    1960 Dodge matador station wagon

That was part of it. How bout the disc brakes, power brake booster, 413 engine, Alternator, upholstery and the "original equipment" comment. Dodge didn't get the 413 or the alternator until 61. Only booster available in 60 was the bellows booster.

    Who's got CO detectors

I have had two of the battery powered combo units with the 10 year batteries for a number of years now. One in the basement staircase and one in the hallway near the bedrooms. Here in Wisconsin they are required on every level of a single family home. New construction requires hard wired with...

Running two alternators on same car?

This don't seem right to me......My understanding of alternators is if they are working correctly, they will generate about 17 volts give or take. It is the regulator's job to send that voltage to the battery. It seems to me if you have two alternators and two regulators the regulators have to...

help identifying wire near wiper switch

As I said before. I agree the wiring harness is the same. Try using a 2 speed wiper switch with a 3 speed motor. There is a reason they have different part numbers.

Hood hinge issue - 71 Charger

Those hoods are long and heavy. Fifty years of opening and closing plus jiggling around on the road takes it's toll. There are those that will tell you to just adjust them but the truth is the rivets have worn the holes larger making them sloppy causing the rear of the hood to pop up. Sure you...

help identifying wire near wiper switch

I have never owned an A body but I know on a B and E body, the two speed switch has 6 terminals and the three speed switch has 7 terminals. They have different part numbers as well. I only know this from doing swaps from 2 speed wipers to 3 speed wipers. I remember the 7th wire being present in...

Help a Gal with Power Steering Box

I agree with going for the Borgeson steering gear since you already have the Borgeson pump. I have heard the Borgeson pump needs to have the pressure toned down a bit if using with a stock steering gear. It will work perfectly with the Borgeson gear.

help identifying wire near wiper switch

As I mentioned in post #8, E body cars had an extra wire for 3 speed wipers. That was me talking from experience.

help identifying wire near wiper switch

You mentioned the extra wire was near your wiper switch connector. I remember E body wiring harnesses had an extra wire that was un-used for a 2 speed wiper but was needed for the 3 speed wiper. Could that be what it is?

Two drivers side door jam switches

Too bad that hole didn't get noticed and fixed before painting.

Two drivers side door jam switches

The outer hole looks factory to me. Inner one,........no. If you insist on keeping it you will have to trace that three wire switch wiring to where it went. You will not find a factory diagram showing it. The factory wiring used the one with the yellow wire only.
