I see that others have asked for help decoding their fender tags so I'd like to throw my hat in the ring too. I've read some of the other information on this site but I'm still searching. Here's the fender tag from my 1968 Road Runner. Any help is appreciated.
My latest venture involves the dash. Some things work and some, well, not so much. I don't want to stray too far away from the stock appearance of this car so I thought I could either have my stock dash refurbished or install something new. Dakota Digital has a new dash assembly that looks...
I've made a couple more mods to the Road Runner since my last post. I'm not sure how much a power steering cooler will benefit the system but to be on the safe side, I went ahead and installed a Durale P/S cooler. It measures about 6" X 11" and it should be sufficient to help the system live...
I have a few pictures that I took of the engine VIN stamping, transmission with VIN, radiator support, trunk lip, and the fender tag. If you need them, I'll be happy to post them here.
I'm trying to figure out if I have enough room to mount the seatbelt retractor in the stock location when the bench seat is moved all the way to the rear. The space between the seat and the seatbelt anchor is pretty narrow in my car??
If anyone has any pictures of the Seatbelts Plus belts...
I believe those are the belts that I've been looking at. Since the car already has the shoulder belt pivot, they look to be a simple installation. Thank you for your input.
I'd like to do a 3 point seatbelt upgrade on my 68 Road Runner. There's a company by the name of Seatbelts Plus that offers these new belts. Has anyone here had any experience with either this company or this belt upgrade kit? I'd appreciate hearing your comments.
After completing my work under the hood for installing the Classic Auto Air system, I took the Runner to Bob Villiger at Ozark Mountain Classics in Mountian Home, AR. Bob's crew went to work installing the under-dash unit, the control panel, and louvers. They had to remove some metal from the...
My last planned project before the beginning of this year’s cruising season is to install air conditioning in the Road Runner. Actually, once I began, I also figured that if I ever planned to convert the front belt drive system to a serpentine style, this would also be a good time to do that...
I wonder if it would be worthwhile to try putting the new pulley in the oven for a while? I'm thinking that I might try something like that that's non invasive, and if it doesn't work, I can still go to a shop for help.
Thank you for your response. That was kind of what I was afraid of. I don't have a press in my garage so I'll probably search the Yellow Pages for alternator repair and go from there. Thanks again.
I'm in the process of changing out my stock v-belt pulley system and replacing it with a serpentine belt kit. The kit that I'm using is from March Performance. Here's my problem; the stock belt pulley is press fit as is the supplied serpentine pulley from March. I don't think that I'll have...
I finally finished up the installation of the FiTech EFI and associated parts. The FiTech unit that I purchased was the flat black model 30002, which is supposed to be good for up to 600 HP. That's way more than this old guy plans to make but the tech said that this unit was very suitable for...
