I always leave those thin splash shields off my cars. They trap heat and since I don't drive the cars in the mud, they serve no purpose.

I believe that console is a few years 'too new' for that car.... (or at least the wood grain?) Does the car, by chance, have power buckets? - that might be what the b-5 is.
