These numbers don’t match any decoders Ive been searching online for. The PP as the leading numbers is throwing me off, and even if you don’t start with PP the numbers don’t make sense. I didn’t try the fender tag because its hard for me to read and i have never decoded one. This is supposed to be a 67 Plymouth Sport Fury.

The VIN looks like a 1966 383 car.

PP (Plymouth fury, Premium Price class) = Sport Fury
23 (Body Style) = 2-Door Hardtop
G (Engine) = 383-4BBL
6 (Production Year) = 1966
4 (Production Plant) = Belvedere

...fender tag?
There's a lot of variability plant-to-plant, and quite a few unknowns with these older tags, so...grain-of-salt:

103 Sch. Prod. Date Jan 03, 1966
02201 sales/sequnce number
PP23: Line and Model
Plymouth full size
Premium price range (Sport)
2 = 2-door
3 = Hard top
P4X: Interior grade and color
P - Premium grade
4 = All vinyl buckets
X = Black
SS1: Soft Yellow monotone exterior paint
A+B = (Sales codes) 62 = 383-4 Dual ex.
C-5 = 395 Torqueflite
G+1 = 351 Basic accessories group
R-1 = 421 Radio
S-1 = 411 A/C
T-7 = 577 Tachometer
(?X-1 = 521 Tinted glass-all?) image clipped
(?Y-6 = 306 Black vinyl top?) image clipped
a-6 = 486 Console
b-5 = 565 Rear arm rests w/ ash trays (questionable?)
d-8 = 418 Rear defogger (questionable?)
h-7 = 517 Fender mounted turn signals
p-6 = 456 Power steering
u-1 = 691 Sold car (Ordered)

I believe that console is a few years 'too new' for that car.... (or at least the wood grain?)
Does the car, by chance, have power buckets? - that might be what the b-5 is.

I think the console is right, but the top pieces have been switched out for later wood grain stuff...... ???

Hands off. I found it first. I was afraid one of you guys would look for it.:rofl:

Digging a bit further into whatever documentation is on H.H., looks like the '66 Sport Fury is where the wood grain on this style console probably originated? (all images lifted from Hamtramck Historical and cropped)

Is this a power seat?
I don't think so,but really don't know. Maybe the 5 is the manual 6-way? (apparently standard on all Furys?) Optional Power 6-way Driver (apparently manual passenger) seems it would code 4 (454). Always fun trying to learn what Mother-Mopar was thinking back in the day:)

It has a '66 console. You can tell by the split near the end of the console top piece, where the end piece attaches. They were made that way so rear console piece for '66 Charger could be attached, alternatively, in those cars. One year only deal. Rear console was not available in '67 Charger, so all consoles were one piece, 1967 and beyond. Woodgrain appears to be correct, according to sales brochure. Fury also has A/C. Some of those '66 C-bodies came with disc brakes, too. That old girl is pretty loaded up, optionwise. It would make a great, comfortable cruiser. Somebody should jump on that like a fat kid on a Smartie!
