I'm not a fan of the newer type of disc's (they build heat). With that said, a full faced disc is either been oil contaminated or overheated. At a minimum, you're looking at resurfacing/replacing the flywheel.

I always leave those thin splash shields off my cars. They trap heat and since I don't drive the cars in the mud, they serve no purpose.
