MLS Cometic Vs Felpro 1009 with Aluminum Heads

Yes I have heard of that problem. No chamfer at the top of my cylinders. Thanks I’m interested in knowing about longevity if they do work in the beginning but don’t last with the aluminum heads.

    Distributor removal

Guys, he's pulling the engine. Is the OP going to overhaul this engine? Just pull the distributor out, if it's stuck, probably because of sludge and varnish.

MLS Cometic Vs Felpro 1009 with Aluminum Heads

This cylinder does not have a chamfer that I have heard the newer blocks have. I have had the heads off once before and the “witness” marks from the ring are outside the closed chamber. Thanks

MLS Cometic Vs Felpro 1009 with Aluminum Heads

I have used the 1009 on my 440 and 383 with cast iron heads with no issues. This is my first rodeo with aluminum heads. Are those other gaskets composite? I’m not familiar with the marine head gasket. Can you please explain the difference? This engine by the way produces 200 psi compression.

66 stock Hemi - what causes cold engine stuttering from 1200 rpm up until warm?

I took my 66 stock Hemi out today for the first time in a while. Fired up good and set into a fast idle and I let it idle like that for a few minutes. After it started to warm up it has this stutter in the fast idle of about 1500 rpm that vibrates everything and feels like a severe imbalance...

    Need a bellhousing

In simple terms..... for bellhousings, there is a big hole or a small hole. For A833's, there's a big front bearing and a small front bearing. The bearings can be swapped. The hole size and bearing size must match. The factory overdrives had aluminum cases and I don't think they're super...
