On of the visual tell tale signs that things are starting to go away is when a second wear pattern starts to develop on the lobe.
It’s usually an indication that the crown is basically gone, or is starting to get concave.
This one appears to have two patterns.

This particular crossing leads to an intermodal facility.
Trains are frequently queued to get in and can sit blocking the crossing for quite some time.
IIRC FL has a "45 minute" rule, but even 20-30 min is quite frustrating if you are trying to get to work, or to get home.

Agree with the above, first. Next, consider the possibility the actuator is no longer working. You can check the actuator with a handheld vacuum pump/gun. You should be able to disconnect the lines from the car to the actuator and hook up the vacuum from the pump to the actuator to see if it...

We have a new one in a residential area right up against a railroad crossing.
If there's a train, all traffic for miles comes to a halt.
Before the circle, you could go around the stopped traffic waiting for the train, and take an alternate route.
Now, because the one lane, one way...
On my 66 the blower motor is accessed from the engine compartment. I pulled my blower motor out and used a vacuum to clean the heater box through that hole, so I didn't have to open the heater box. I did find this in the blower fan though.
