Thanks HEMI-ITIS.
Wheels are 15x4(3.5?) and 15x8 with Hurst tires.
Engine is a 64 413. I have not done any work to it yet. I will pull it and rebuild it over the summer.
There are a couple Im using for different aspects of the build. Im not a body/paint/weld guy so all that work is outsourced. I will do all the mechanical work as well as the interior and final assembly. G Force did the back half, KNS Kustoms is doing the front. I will be using Diamond Collision...
Cool cars boys, I will be looking for you guys on the island. If you want to see more pics, go to my gallery. No newer pics than whats here, just different.
By the end of the year all the mods will be complete and car will get the body/paint done.
Now to get the motor/trans up to snuff. All in...
Thanks for the kind words guys.
The shop the car was in moved, so some time was lost. Progress is being made, steering, motor mounts and cutting/welding stuff. It will be a little bit before final body work and paint happen. Probably over the winter. Motor/Trans has to come out so I can do a...
Thanks for the interest in my project guys. The rear was moved 12", the front 6.5". Im on LI Nassau/Suffolk border. Hope to have some more progress pics in a week or so.
Thanks guys, yes the front set up is from Speedway, their Gasser Kit. The springs are on the short side, but Im not doing BullRun with the car so I can deal with the poor ride. It did make placement easier.
FYI...Jesse at KNS Kustoms is doing all the work up front. Great guy, quality work.
To answer your question, yes the converter will work fine. You could probably get away with a lower stall, 3000 is probably on the high side for your combo. Especially since you said its a street car. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the kind words.
The car is virtually rust free and yea, straight. Thats really hard to come by here in NY.
From what I can tell, this was some ones ex race car. The front fenders and hood were swapped out at some point. It had a cage once and just tell tale signs of race mods. There...
Progress has been slow, but things should be moving along now. The back metal work and suspension is done, and its time to start the front mods. Im not sure how far forward the move will be yet. I will figure it out once the parts get here.
O.K., so things are slow going. Its been a crazy winter. Here are some shots of current progress. I also just got my rims and tires. I went with ansen sprint slots and Hurst tires. Trying to keep it period correct as much as possible. I should have the straight axle in place by spring or so, I hope.
