I have had 3 64 fury with factory PB and they had a longer brake peddle arm and it hung higher with a different bracket that did not allow enough room to remove the brake peddle arm. The complete bracket had to be removed to change to a different arm.

Sounds like a good one. Sometimes a used heater core lasts for decades, and then some just fail. So you might be fine, or need another one.

With the cars I have and have had in the last 35 years, I've replaced only 2 heater cores. They never see the same problems that radiators do. Maintain your cooling system and heater cores will be the least of your worries. I do keep one of each style heater core on the shelf, but never thought...
