Don’t freak out. Look for something (like the door seal) preventing the door from closing. If that doesn’t work…Mark where the striker on the door is now (pencil), loosen big Phillips screws and move the striker outwards 1/8”-1/4”.
Those BBF's are a pretty good engine, I would tweak it a bit as well. I always remember the garage where I worked tuning up a 70 Police Interceptor 429, cylinder pressure checked in at just above 200!

Beautiful car *and* wheels, those are genuine Centerlines, not one of the many knock-off designs. They cost a lot more than the knock-offs did, and were very lightweight. There's a reason why you saw Centerlines on so many drag cars. Weld Wheels too, but those were even more expensive...
